Games Design 4

In the second session of the week the class played games. The point was to look at aspects of design, so the students analysed the games and wrote about different aspects of the games they played including:

  • Narrative Design
  • Character Design
  • Level / Environment Design
  • Gameplay / Game Mechanics Design
  • User Interface Design

The students responses were collated via a Google Form, which adds the responses to a spreadsheet. Google Forms are a great way to collate information, and the spreadsheet indicates how many responses have arrived. It also timestamps each response too. The resulting spreadsheet can be downloaded and kept as assessment evidence.
